His Hero Is Gone – Fifteen Counts Of Arson
His Hero Is Gone's seminal first full length, back in print for the first time since 2012. I don't think I can overstate how important this and Monuments To Thieves are to the punk and hardcore scene that came after. HHIG took a big pile of crust, baked in a bit of Dystopia, sprinkled some powerviolence on top and...who gives a shit about this metaphor anymore, this is one of the most important records of the 1990's. Some 18 years after hearing it for the first time, I still get fucking amped...and the sample at the beginning of "Professional Mindfuckers" still creeps me out. 472 on black vinyl for this pressing.
Released by Prank Records.
